Style Asia at SLCC 2007
Went down to Style Asia 2007 to take a look at our Asian designers. Was overwelm by the texture, layering of the clothing range. Below are some shots taken during the show. Overall, it was a nice experience to see so many Asian inspired designs and also to be able to meet the winners from the Face of Asia 2007..

Style Asia 2007 on 24th & 25th August!

“This Fashion show will be held on the 24th and 25th of August at 5pm SL time it is part of the SLCC events held inworld and AMA is co-ordinating the models and runway work.”

NIE (National Institute of Education) in SL!
Today, while roaming around Lion City, I chanced upon a group of people in a nearby island. On closer look, there was a sign board stating that this little island belongs to NIE for some gallery purpose.

While I was talking to another fellow SL resident, Woshiren, one of the NIE people (with a “I’m am a Teacher” title) tried to make the first contact with us using the Voice function. As many may know, SL residents are not so adventurous to use this voice function. So I hastily answered him that we prefer to type. He just keep saying “who are these guys. Who is JoeTeh? Who is Woshizen” or something like that…
I explained to him that I can hear him and he again asked us who we are. Finally, he walked away without getting his answer. A moment later, while I was talking to Woshiren, he turned to us and use the most amazing words that could come out from a teacher (or to-be teacher).. below are the transcript..
[1:51] woshiren Kappler: stop dancing
[1:51] woshiren Kappler: lol
[1:51] You: ya
[1:51] You: me not dancing
[1:51] woshiren Kappler: u are
[1:51] You: really
[1:52] IzOneD Arai: shut uo joe

[1:52] You: woshi, let’s go
But at least he corrected his spelling mistake… sadden by this incident and I know all Singaporeans are good people by nature. Will try to talk to him again if I see him… (btw, I had some problem with the animation.. that’s why Woshiren is asking me to stop dancing and that may cause him to think I am some annoying fellow although my title hovering above my head is “JT-inc Designer”)….

Corset Belt
After making clothing till date, I realised that I do not have much accessories.. inspired by a RL corset belt, I made one in SL.. many work done to make the buckles and belt with leather. A screen shot of the product..
It is supposed to be worn as a jacket and to be worn over a dress, long shirt or jacket.
Also, recently, I make a new sexy blouse that comes with a prim ribbon. In the picture below, it was modelled by Gizelle.

New toy – Reddars New Studio
Wow, Zailey had done a wonderful job by transforming the Reddars Workstation into 2 portion. One for designing new products and another for Photoshoot. She had also bought and script the new Studio Set.. super cool with fan, bubbles, fog, stars and lightings…
Tried to use the super cool functiont to capture myself against tall buildings..

Singapore National Day Celebration at Reddars Clubhouse
The party was supposed to start at 10pm (Singapore time) on the 9th August. Somehow, there’s some problem with SL. Cannot teleport and other minor issues…
Nevertheless, we managed to reach Reddars Clubhouse before 12 midnight to wish everyone a happy 42nd National Day.. what a difference this year, for me to celebrate National Day in SL..
Gizelle became the DJ for the night.. with some hiccups on the music streaming. After some tuning, all went well.. way to go, gal! She has a sweet voice.. should visit Reddars next time to hear her sweeeeet voice, haha.. (Gizelle busy at work.. )
The theme for the night is RED and some of the gals came dressing with our National Flag theme.. (Chiling with her “National Dress”)
There was pole dancing, Gizelle dressed as a nurse. We have Cookie Monster, South Park and etc.
Things get more interesting as we pass 12 midnight. Enzio appeared and was forced to become the DJ. During this time, many people requested to hear him sing “live” but we only managed to hear a clip of his singing.. not bad, I must say… Enzio!! Then, out of sudden, Indian songs are played (I remembered the Happy Birthday song in Indian.. too bad for those who missed it).
